PTA Committees

Aesthetics

Assist with the beautification of the buildings and grounds. Projects may include maintaining planters, weeding, improving signage as well as other projects as the team deems worthwhile. Time requirements are flexible, and can include evenings and weekends. This is a perfect job to get the family involved in making our school look great!

Book Fair

Assist in working scheduled times during the Fall (usually in early November) and Spring book fairs in the library, in addition to assisting with setup and take down. Volunteers may also be asked to provide snacks/treats for teacher preview.

Box Tops for Education

Assist in collecting and sorting box tops from classrooms.

Carnival

Come join the fun and be a part of our Spring Carnival! This is our most exciting (and most profitable) fundraiser of the year. The carnival is only successful with the help of our dedicated committee and our 250 parent volunteers. There is a job for everyone! Up for a bigger challenge? Sign-up for Carnival Lead, Auction Lead, Vendor Lead, Bake Sale or Cake Walk. Looking for a smaller commitment? Volunteer for a 30- minute game shift, a cake donation or set-up/clean-up crew.

Fifth Grade Celebration

This committee plans and executes the most exciting day of the year for the fifth grade class. If you have a fifth grader and want to be involved in something that directly impacts them this is a great opportunity and promises to be a lot of fun.

Teacher Appreciation & Hospitality

With the help of volunteers, this committee provides refreshments and morale boosters for teacher/staff and parent functions throughout the year. Some of the events include teacher breakfasts and luncheons, quarterly staff mailbox treats and goody bags for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Volunteers are needed to send in food items and/or assist at these events.

Help with the planning and implementing this special week in May where we honor our outstanding teachers.

Reflections

Assist with implementing this special PTA program where students showcase their creativity through writing, photography, music composition and visual arts based on their interpretation of a central theme. This event is in October. You will be contacted to help with displaying the entries and/or the reception held after the awards presentation.

Silent Auction

This is an adult-only event held off campus in late February/early March (date TBD). Committee members will help plan food, beverages, and decorations for the night of the event and will solicit donations from 5-10 area businesses to be auctioned off during the event. The committee begins work the first week of January.

Spirit Wear Team

Participate in spirit wear sales at daytime and/or evening events. Help track inventory and fulfill orders. Time commitment is low, a few hours per month.

The PTA needs YOUR help!

There are many ways to get involved with the PTA and help our school. All are welcome, and a variety of skill sets are needed. Many roles can be done during off hours or from home.
